Oh, You weren’t Taught to see so much Beauty
You stand there Looking for fault, Ain’t that a shame
Distorted Perceptions, Creating Crooked Realities
You Learned to see through Glasses Colored by Blame
Mountains of Compounded Fears, Multiplied by Pressure
Passed down the line like a Choo Choo Train
Unhealthy Habits, All the Scenes run Together,
Didn’t know how to Get Yourself Straight.
You weren’t taught to take Real Responsibility
or Shown how to put on the Karma Brakes.
Didn’t take time to stop for Healing,
Full Speed Ahead, a Train Wreck in the Waiting!
You kept Chug, Chugging to fill the Status Quo
Dotted your I’s, got your Ducks in a Row.
Who said Ignorance is Bliss? Happiness was Amiss!
You strove to Save Everyone’s Soul
But Who were you, did you even know?
It’s amazing, when we’re not quite Ready, not quite Whole,
Life gives us a chance to Pass on the misery we’ve known
And you kept Plowing through, like a Tornado
Inadvertently Derailing all the cars behind you.
And you still look for someone to Blame,
Still don’t understand this Game
Realize for once in your life
Even Good Freight trains need a Break!
